for a Library Card
Fill
out the form
and your local library will notify you by email (or phone, if
no email) when your card is ready to pick up. At that time, you
must show a photo I.D. with proof of California residency, and
might need a parent with you if you are under 18.

Receive library notices by e-mail, rather than telephone or postcard!
Topics include holds and overdues, as well as courtesy pre-overdue
notices. To sign up or change your existing address on file, click
here, log into your account, and click the "Modify Personal
Info" button. Please provide an address that you'll check
daily.

MPL
items check out for 3 weeks and may be renewed twice if no holds
are on the item. Exceptions are:
- New adult
books - 3 weeks, no renewal.
- Menlo
Park videos & DVDs - 1 week, 2 renewals

as many people as possible, we limit checkouts per card to:
